This hike begins at the Lodge, follows Friday Creek for a short duration, and then cuts up a ridge-line that is best characterized by moderately steep grades broken up by flat shoulders (perfect resting and viewing points). The. Ridge flattens out where views of the trackless north are inspiring and continues, through the occasional high alpine meadows for a couple of miles before beginning another ascent. Views of the Alaska Range are quite spectacular on clear days. Depending on the route taken, this hike will gain between 1700-2300 feet in elevation and cover 7-9 miles: This hike will return to the Lodge around 3:00 PM.
