This hike is moderate by pace.
It begins in the lowland tundra and gains approximately 1300 feet in
elevation until it tops out on Quigley Ridge. The initial portion of
this hike is steep as it rises from the spongy, lowland tundra into
alpine tundra found on the ridge top. There are plenty of opportunities
for scenic rest stops. From Quigley ridge, this hike follows an easy
walking ridgeline. Views of the Alaska Range and the vastness of the
north can be seen, weather permitting. At the end of the ridge it
intersects Quigley Road, which brings you back to the Lodge. This hike
is approximately 5 miles in length, round trip. This hike will return to
the Lodge by approximately 2:00 PM.
